At LearningMate, my role revolves around fostering strategic partnerships, primarily focusing on economic workforce development. Spearheading initiatives bridging education and employment gaps, I’ve become adept at utilizing digital, virtual, and hybrid solutions to transform workforce training. Our team has successfully collaborated with numerous educational and workforce entities, enhancing economic development across the United States.
My competency in orchestrating high-impact events as an Event Manager at OneCause complements my expertise in partnerships. We’ve leveraged cutting-edge fundraising technology to support cause-driven organizations, maximizing their outreach and revenue generation.

Cathi Cohen Baker
Cathi has more than 20 years of experience in senior management, overseeing operations, regulatory compliance, finance, training initiatives, professional development and new school development in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas. Cathi served as the executive director of BCFS Education Services, overseeing the organization’s Head Start program in 24 sites, as the Director of Business Services Operations and Procurement for San Antonio Independent School District, and most recently as the Deputy Director of Fiscal and Operations for Workforce Solutions Alamo.Cathi holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification specializing in organizational reorganization, staff analysis, process improvement and lean strategies. Cathi is a published author, “Is Today the Day? What you choose you do not change” a personal and professional guide to achieving workplace greatness, mastering leadership skills through professional development and upskilling and navigating to the career you were meant to be in.
Denise Guckert., EdD
Denise Guckert, EdD, has worked in the field of education in instructional and administrative capacities at secondary, postsecondary, government, and non-profit organizations. She has spent most of her career coordinating, developing, and implementing teacher education curricula, particularly in the areas of adult education, instructional technology, ESL, literacy, and college-to-career transitions. Although retired from her last role as the Coordinator of Adult Education for the Austin Independent School District, Dr. Guckert works as a consultant for Digital Advancement and Resiliency at Tyson, a digital literacy/ESL instructor for Alamo Colleges, and an assessment specialist for Austin Community College, and a consultant for Hill Country Education and Training. She also serves as Co-Editor of the academic Journal of College and Support Programs and is a board officer for the Texas Chapter of the National Organization for Student Success.
Sharon Kuykendall
Ms. Sharon Kuykendall, M.Ed., is a research assistant and editor for Hill Country Education & Training Consultants, LLC, where she conducts detailed market studies across various cities in the United States. With a Master’s degree in Education, Ms. Kuykendall has recently retired from a distinguished 43-year career in public education. Her extensive experience includes roles as a special education teacher, counselor, and educational diagnostician in Texas public schools. She has worked with students of all ages, from preschool to high school.
